    Conditional format in Word

    Hello everyone,
I have a mail merge, and any of the numbers that are negative, I would like for them to be red, and well as add a field where it says that the account is past due.

How can I do that in word with my mail merge.

    Thank you in advance!

    Re: Conditional format in Word

    Hi,

Word does provide the means to conditionally format the contents of fields with the use of 'switches' ...
To edit the field switches, toggle between the field display and the result with ALT+F9

    Thank you very much JeanRage...

I see what you are saying and I do believe there is a way to a conditional format. However I do not have enough knowledge to do so.
Could you walk me thru a way to make the number red if it is negative? Likewise, I would like to have a text box that says that the account is past due if the number is negative.

Thank you again for the help!
