Changing the Souce Link in Word in one easy step - is it possible?

I have a word document that is linked to an excel spread sheet. Both of these documents are used as templates, say for example saved in C:/Desktop

When these documents are used they are both saved to the client file, say for example E:/Client_Folders/Client_X - but the source document is still showing up as C:/Desktop/Excel_template.xls rather than E:/Client_Folders/Client_x/Excel_teimplate.xls

My issues is there are approximately 50 different links in the word document, and if I try to change the source links in the saved word document in the client folder it is making me do this one at a time... not something I wish to do everytime I use these templates.

What I wondered is there an easy 1 (2 or 3) step way of changing ALL the source links? (I have tried the Alt-F9 then find and replace, but his threw up errors)

    Thanks!
