    Senior members

I’ve been puzzled by the term “Senior members” and I do wonder whom they may be.

Like Darwin’s missing link halfway between ape and man they are often referred to in this forum but I’ve not seen any real evidence of their existents.

In the forum hierarchy where do the fit in? Are they perhaps the link between “Registered user” and “Forum Contributor”?

Or could they be in the transition stage from “Valued Forum Contributor” to “Forum Guru”?

I assume they must have passed “becoming a part of the community” stage and perhaps also have “established their mark in the community”. They certainly must be “very helpful” but do they have “an addiction to Excel” or are they on their way to “attain expert status” being “very confident of their ability”?

If somebody could shed some light on this problem I would be very grateful.

    Re: Senior members

i think it just refers to those who a) contribute reguarly b)are on the board frequently over a few years and who are expected by mods to understand the varying rules and regulations of the board, which i must say is getting harder lol.

Have not got a warning yet but ...

Perhaps the "Senior Member" is an Orwellian beast i.e. "all animals are equal but some are ...." or just elusive like the Scarlet Pimpernel.

Do I detect some Henning Mankell influences at work here? :-)

Yes you may well be right. I do like his books and have read most of them so I would not be surprised if this has had some influence on my writing.

To bad I'm not able to write like him because in his case crime certainly does pay!
