    Excel Version Number in forum

I noticed on my last post that next to my name etc it states that I am Excel 2003 user.

I am not aware that I have directly provided this information and wondered where it is taken from.

When I use the 'Office Button' followed by 'Excel Options' it states that I have Excel 2007 (12............) SP2 [home & student version]

Could / should I do something?
    Does it matter?

In User CP (Control Panel) select Edit Profile. In there, you can change the description of the MS Office Software that you use. You should have (probably did) input this when you signed up.

It helps to know what version of Excel someone is using as it can influence the solution(s) offered. And it is confusing if your profile says 2003 but then you upload a .xlsx file.
