    Mads Snappy Answers

    Anyone remember the Mad Magazine segment "Snappy answers to Stupid questions?" They had a couple book compilations too. For example, there'd be a picture of a guy in a jogging outfit running past his neighbor and the neighbor would be saying "So, taking up jogging?" and there'd be like 5 responses;
No, I just robbed the convience store at the corner.
No, Elves dropped off these magic shoes and now I can't stop running.
    etc.
As this forum has so much razor wit, I thought it might be fun to do some "Snappy answers to Stupid Excel questions". I know I've had to bite my tongue reading a few posts lately. So what are some purely hypothetical Questions and answers....
    First one
"So, is this formula any different if I'm referencing cells on another workbook?"
No, Microsoft has built in psychic software so that Excel knows exactly what workbook and sheet you are referring to.

No, the formula doesn't work either way.

Q: "So, is this formula any different if I'm referencing cells on another workbook?"
    A: "Yes."

Um , just a note, I've tried the PsychicWorkbooksNetwork Add-in. It doesn't work. And somehow I knew it wouldn't work, it was eerie.

    1. You mean that link where it says "Click the words "Forum Rules" for information and guidance on using and posting in these forums!"? I didn't see that.
    2. Of course I did, I'm just a anarchist and refuse to follow them.
    3. Yes, but I have the IQ of a squid and don't understand them.

No: this formula is the same no matter what you are doing.

Well, the formula is the same, but in order to find the correct arguments you need to figure out a quick discrete-time Fourier Transform. You do know how to calculte differential equations, don't you?
Is your code running too slowly?
Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?

    1. I read Mr Excel's rules, do those count?
    2. I thought the reason for having Moderators is so we don't have to read the rules.
    3. Rule is something you do, not something you read.
