    New Years Resolutions Suggestions

I suggest the forum adapt a new rule to standardize thread titles. It's obviously way too complicated now and my brain hurts too much after considering a title to even think about posing my problem. I see many newbies struggling with it also. How about all thread titles will be standardized to "Formula Help" or "VBA Help?" It will also look much nicer when scrolling down the forum content page.

That's still too complicated. Why not just "Help" for everything?
Everyone who confuses correlation and causation ends up dead.

Hi Chemist, Hope all well accross the pond in Bon Jovi territory!

the trouble with that is that I use the search option alot and most of the time I know what I need help with, ie sumproduct, sumif ect and I find it a useful resource..... however, you are right when you say that some newbies, myself included, don't always know the type of formula we need, therefore making it difficult to choose a more fitting title.

    Good point to raise!

    Cheers

You Brits go easy on yourselves.. no need to shoot for the stars. As Eddie Izzard put it:
“…the careers advisor used to come to school and he used to get the kids together and say, “Whatcha you
want to do, kid? Whatcha you want to do? Tell me, tell me your dreams!”
One kid would say, “I want to be a space astronaut, go to outer
space, discover things that have never been discovered.”
He said, “Look, you’re British, so scale it down a bit, all right?”
“All right, I want to work in a shoe shop then! Discover shoes that
no one’s ever discovered right in the back of the shop on the left.”
    A
nd he said, “Look, you’re British, so scale it down a bit, all right?”
“All right, I want to work in a sewer then…!”
