Merry Christmas to all. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. The latest thing on this side of the pond is that texting while driving is as dangerous as drunk driving so don't drink or text while driving. Especially don't do any drunk texting (while driving or not). What you do in the privacy of your own home (or within walking distance) is a different story.

Merry Christmas to all of you that celebrate it. I get to work until Friday-noon. I don't mind though because I am done exams and can once again concentrate more on the world of VBA (and I'm going to scroll a book regarding VB.NET). Everyone should listen to NBVC, don't drink and drive. Call a cabbie, take the bus, or walk you drunk-**** home.

    Merry Christmas
Today is my last day at work until next year. Hoping to get to enjoy some much needed time with my kids during this break from work. I'm trying to get my 15yo to learn VBA with me so I can get him to show me how to write the code and it make sense...LOL, kids these days catch on faster than us old farts...LOL
Merry Christmas Everyone....have a safe holiday.

    Re: Happy Christmas EF Community

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it and a happy end-of-year period all around.

With my NZ location, I'll probably be among the first in the EF community to knock off for the break. We'll have a summer barbecue at my company on Thursday, and raffle off all the gifts that have pooled in over the last weeks, so everybody gets a fair chance at winning a choice bottle of wine, a food basket, or a picture calendar from one of our suppliers.

Whatever your plans are for the next few weeks, please stay safe, txt only when your attention is not required elsewhere, and observe your local legal limit for driving after having a drink.

It's been a great year at Excelforum. We've seen quite a few new members join, stick around and provide great help to the community. Good on ya! You know who I mean.

Let's hope for a productive year 2011, may all your wishes come true and let 2011 be the best year yet.

    cheers,

Hahaha, -8! I realize that there are many places on this small planet of ours where snow and cold weather is not the norm but, -8 is a really warm winter day here in Winnipeg (Manitoba Canada). We've already had -29 and around -40 with the windchill and winter is not in full swing yet. Personally, I can't wait until January when its really cold and I can get out to do some ice-fishing.

I think Dom was laughing because in Leeds -8 is a warm summer's day.

Hope we are all talking the same units -8F and -29C! ;-)

-8 seems warm now I am back in the UK after living in Colorado, still wearing my shorts but I had to swap my sandals for shoes as the snow was getting my feet wet!

I find it funny to walk down to the local supermarket in Rochdale wearing a Hawaiian shirt and shorts!!!

Happy Winter Solstice, Joyous Yule, and Reason's Greetings everyone! I hope those of you in the right time zone took the opportunity to enjoy the Lunar eclipse we had the other night. Nothing better than a little celestial entertainment to cap off a great 2010. Best wishes to you and your families for 2011!

Your not wrong Dom, this country (as much as I love the countryside, traditions, heritage, Englishness ect) we have a terrible habbit of leaves on the line, a bit of snow ect bringing the country to a standstill.

I dealt with it by sending my wife out with a scraper and de-icer whilst I watched from the window!

    Good work!!!

To be fair it can't be much fun for all those folk stuck waiting for planes and trains, especially if they are heading off to see loved ones for the Xmas period. We've got one more year of this apparently and then it'll be back to sunny winters for another 16 years.

On the plus side I'm taking my snowboard home with me for Xmas as there's some great hills near where my mum lives

Someone has to work while the others get time off! Its going to be like a ghost-office on Friday for me. Even next week most of the staff in my business unit will be off.
