Sounds like good idea.
Sounds like good idea.
Hi all,
I'm probably waffling, but another thing I think would be nice for newbies (and perhaps experienced folk as well), would be if a task was chosen by the forum, such as create a spreadsheet to do X (could be multi-faceted and even complex). Then the knowledgeable members could start at the beginning and each add and discuss their own solutions/formulas etc as it develops.
The normal Q/A in the forums is absolutely fantastic, but (probably quiet rightly and sensibly) one member usually follows a topic through to conclusion, where some more interaction/discussion/opinions might benefit all.
Perhaps I'm totally off-track, but it is one way that helps me personally learn more.
Make any sense/possible/bad idea…???

I think this is a great idea becasue it may hlep in learning concepts of code.I'm probably waffling, but another thing I think would be nice for newbies (and perhaps experienced folk as well), would be if a task was chosen by the forum, such as create a spreadsheet to do X (could be multi-faceted and even complex). Hello Diana,
Not many takers, so perhaps not such a good idea.
One problem I find, is there are often threads that I would like to ask questions in, but then think it would be rude and detract from OP's getting the clear responses they seek and also be annoying for respondants. I thought perhaps this could be a way around that.
I also thought later, that it might be possible to select projects that are 'real world' and would be ultra nice if something could be chosen that might even benefit (be given to) a charity or good cause.
Anyway, good luck,
J.
