    Small text in threads

    @AliGW tells me that I am using a very small font for my formula text, which is weird because what I see on my screen suggests the exact opposite - see picture below.

    Please help me carry out a quick survey to help me render my future replies legible to all

    Q1 Please click on this link and look at post#2 and compare it to the picture below
    - does the formula text seem small to you?
    - if so which browser are you using?

    Q2 Of the 5 samples below which ones display larger /same size / smaller when compared with the default text

    1 =FORMULA(..)
    2 =FORMULA(..)
    3 =FORMULA(..)
    4 =FORMULA(..)
    5 =FORMULA(..)

    Re: Small text in threads

    Kev - are you copying and pasting text into the edit box in the browser?

    Re: Small text in threads

    @AliGW
    I simply select cell text and paste into the thread
    I do resize it at that point and as the picture shows it gets bigger after being manipulated

    OK - try not resizing it at all, then. Or don't copy and paste!

    Are you suggesting that I should type my formulas into the thread - they will never work if I do that!

    Re: Small text in threads

    Well, no!!! But when I copy and paste formulae in from Excel, they 'land' automatically at the default size. I don't change any font sizing - I leave it at the default. I always find that changing it is a bit hit and miss as the results are very much browser-dependent.

    Re: Small text in threads

    @AliGW - this anomoly seems to be an Internet Explorer peculiarity .....
    Firefox and Chrome both display the text slightly smaller than the default text, whereas IE does the opposite

    Wrap your formulae in [ formula ] tags

    Formula: copy to clipboard
    =IF("Wrapped","Clarity","Obfuscation")

    let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

    Re: Small text in threads

    Just type the [ formula ] brackets and paste your formula inbetween....

    [ formula ] = "My Stuff, which can be pasted" [ /formula ]

    Remove the spaces, gives:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
     = "My Stuff, which can be pasted"
