Hi
Yep, that “flushing out” of the system has happened at least twice”. That Email notification problem has been around for a few weeks, and I fear many did not notice, and replies and work or people answering were lost

Good to slowly start hearing that others are also getting this Email notification problem, I was very paranoid, when it first started I reported it and thought I was alone.
. Sadly, I expect many may have not noticed, and some efforts of people replying to Threads may have gone to waste, as the OP was not informed and never noticed. And wgen the system got “flushed out it may have been too late for the OP or he/she just regarded it as spam!

You are mourning of not getting e-mails for a week. The site can go down for long time-perhaps longer than a week and no one except the teki team know and the rest of us have to guess when the site will be back. So contend with you have and count yourself as lucky for having access to the site.![]()

I avoid the whole issue by not subscribing to the email feature. When I log on, I go first to settings and see who has posted to the threads I am subscribed to.

Hi
E mail Notification seems to have stopped again for me. Since Saturdy Night. That seems to be a typical time that it happens .
Anyone out there care to reply to this, just as another check?
Or anyone else who uses Email Notifications care to check there Setttings or User CP ( User Control Panel ) to check if you have some recent replies of which you were not notified?

Here is my tale of woe, I went on vacation 11/23 and was scheduled out through 12/1 so I went to settings and changed my e-mail from my work to my home. Worked fine. Then when vacation was over I went in and changed it back to work on 12/1 but didn't receive any e-mail notification for activation. Used the "contact us" section at the bottom to send admins a note. Sent several (surprised i didn't get dinged for it) and kept asking for the notification so I could reactivate my account. Finally on 12/5 I rec'd an e-mail note that the contact e-mail had gotten through but kept waiting for the e-mail notification. I changed my e-mail settings back and forth in the interim and finally today rec'd my activation e-mailso now I can access the site and post again. I wanted to change my e-mail like this again in the future but now I'm hesitant as I don't want to be excluded in the future again.
I hope this was a one-time only thing and not something that can happen regularly because now I'm gun shy about ever changing it again especially since while I could only access as a guest I couldn't e-mail any administrators or anyone else to let them know.

@Sambo,
Doc seems to be keeping tabs on this, and in another thread he has a table showing that the email notifications have failed on five occasions this year, at varying durations each time. It hardly seems worth changing your email addresses when you go away, if you then suffer from the kind of problems you outline in your post.
Pete
_ . Maybe you are a victim here of the emails that did not get "flushed out" this time around, ( So are lost for ever…..

_ ………………..
_. I wonder if that effected people trying to register as new members in that period??
_ Who knows. _ .. Who care's - well we do!
_ thanks for sharing the experience. Originally I got quite paranoid … I thought i was alone, having first noticed and brought the problem up back in August……………. But it has been debated quite a bit recently. For many it seems not a big problem.
Alan
Hi Sambo,
It probably has nothing to do with you - the whole forum e-mail system was inoperative!![]()
Pete I hadn't had a problem doing that in the past, AND, at home I have excel for Mac but PC at work, the two aren't even comparable - there is so much more I can do at work than at home. Excel for Mac is a poor substitute. Right now my contact is home again but I'd rather have it as work but I don't want to go through that again.
Orrin, initially I wondered if I correctly remembered the process. After a while I realized it wasn't personal but it remained frustrating when you can't do anything INCLUDING contacting anyone outside of the "contact us" at the bottom of the forum.
There was no forum notice that I could see and then I spotted this post but couldn't reply to it because I was inactive. I never rec'd any replies to my many contact e-mails so I had no idea if I'd ever get access again. It would've been nice to know if there was some problem on the site and they were working on it. This post was all I had indicating there was a problem. THANKS Orrin for starting it!At least I knew something was going on.
