To the administrators. I have tried unsuccessfully 5 times to access the Forum Rules page. I keep getting a message, that I do not have permission. Can someone explain why?

Fotis1991, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.![]()

This has not been done on purpose. Its a setting changed at the backend. If you want a copy of the forum rules (since i can access them), i will post it in the water cooler in the meantime.
just FYI, I am able to access them (not stirring the pot, just adding info)
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Yes only mods/admin can. Sent it for a check.
What genius came up with the idea of limiting access to the rules ? I mean really....
Elegant Simplicity............. Not Always
As i have mentioned before, its not happened on purpose. Its a slight glitch, thats all.
Do I sense slight irritation in your tone...It's just a bit of fun and you are the rep Arlu :-)
All of you should be able to see the forum rules now. Its fixed. If not, please let me know.
I never read them in the first place ..... Sorry...Does that make me a bad person?
I'm glad that has been fixed, as I often refer new posters to read the Rules if they've got a poor title, or posted a question in someone else's thread etc.
However, having just re-read the blue section at the bottom (new levels), I'm wondering when these will be applied to those posters (VFCs mainly) who meet the criteria for Forum Experts (after all the controversy about Forum Gurus) ??
Also, why isn't this thread in the Water Cooler or Suggestions for Improvement ??
Pete
Thanks Pete. I didnt realise and have moved it now.
The changes will happen shortly. The tech team is changing the algorithm slightly to take note of these changes.
What algorithm is that? Everyone who logs on here needs to have access to the rules..
The algorithm is regarding the level changes, Andy, not the rules.
I don't think so..but to be honest in no way i don't want to be in her position.
She is a manager here. So for any problem she ask the famous "Tech Team". And all of us know what this mean..
So if she don't answer to us then we say:" No one is interest about our questions"
If she answer, she have to give us the answer of the "Tech Team" And everybody knows which is it!
"We'll fix it shortly...."!
Have nice holidays Pete!
