Delete Attachment

Sorry if I am in the wrong place, but I am not sure where to find the answer. How do I delete an attachment from my available attachments?

go in the place where you normaly add the attachement.

if you see the attachement in the left side, click on the (red) cross.

I cannot find any red cross. When I go to manage attachments, it allows you to check boxes next to attachments you wish to delete, but some of them do not have check boxes.
