    Forum frequently extremely slow

Is it just my computer, or has the forum been unbearably slow the last few weeks?

Sometimes it's fine, but then other times it takes 45 seconds to submit a reply, or in the current case, 4 minutes to Edit a post.
You should hit F5, because chances are I've edited this post at least 5 times.

    Re: Forum frequently extremely slow

I guess my response didn't go through.

I think it is the code in vBulliten. Every time I press the Submit button, the forum seems to run the command twice. I get a "you can't post again for 30 seconds" thing because it detects a double post. I'd recommend to the developers to start there.

Also the edit button now errors the forum, and clicking on a thread from the main page (instead of going into the subforum it is contained in) will cause an error.
Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/eforum/public_html/includes/functions.php(1488) : eval()'d code on line 4

Homepage loads nice a quick now though!

    Hi, speshful,

please do not make vBulletin responsible for additions that have been added by the Technical Team of ExcelForum - Iīm sure it wasnīt designed to turn the performance down but it seems it backfires now in a way nobody imagined to happen although long enough had been pointed to by veteran users. BTW: other vBulletin Forums work fine - itīs EF that has lots of problems since ages.

    Ciao,
    Holger

    Re: Forum frequently extremely slow

Oh not at all, I was just stating that because of the behavior I am seeing, it is likely the problem lies in the software as opposed to server hardware/bandwidth, possibly something overlooked during a recent modification or addition. I'm a fan of vB personally.

    Re: Forum frequently extremely slow

Forum has been almost unusable for me today. Desperately slow to load, frequent server busy messages, frequent double posts, and now fatal errors.
