    Query Function

In the attached example, I'm looking for help creating a query that allows me to filter data in the tab "Team Stats" and display those results in the tab "Query Results". In this example, I'm asking the hypothetical query function to look for the following variables in the "Team Stats" tab:

    1) Is there a number greater than "4" in column "A" AND
    2) Is there a "Yes" in column "D" AND
    3) Is there no data in column "O"?

If any data (in one row) meets those three requirements, then I'd like the data from columns "A" through "AZ" in the "Team Stats" tab to appear in the "Query Results" tab, starting in cell A3.

If possible, I'd like the cells in the "Query Results" tab with values higher than the average (cells R33 to AZ33) to be conditionally formatted, but only if that's easy thing to do and explain.

    Thank you.

    Re: Query Function

    See attached, using FILTER function.

I had to insert enough rows to accommodate the max rows in Team Stats, because you have calculations at the bottom. I also update those AVERAGE formulas. So now the averages are in row 61.

I added the conditional formatting for above average, which was easy. You can see the single rule that does this, replacing the many rules you had to do the same thing.

You didn't mention the other conditional formatting so I left that alone.

An alternative means with Power Query

Power Query is a free AddIn for Excel 2010 and 2013, and is built-in functionality from Excel 2016 onwards (where it is referred to as "Get & Transform Data").

It is a powerful yet simple way of getting, changing and using data from a broad variety of sources, creating steps which may be easily repeated and refreshed. I strongly recommend learning how to use Power Query - it's among the most powerful functionalities of Excel.
