This SUBTOTAL function is not available in the Excel web.

How do I achieve the result of this SUBTOTAL on the Excel web?
It seems that SUBTOTAL routine is composed of 3 steps:
- Group rows,
- Insert new row,
- Sum grouped rows.

Does it not work if you have applied the subtotal in Excel on the desktop?

the SUBTOTAL generated on the desktop does appear on the Excel web.
What I would like to know how can I use SUBTOTAL function the Excel web if I don't have access to the desktop version.

You can't - it's the same with other functions, too. You have to set it on the desktop.
If you want to control it in the browser environment, then you'll need to lobby Microsoft.
