Question office 365 EXCEL UK CURRENCY HELP PLEASE

    Hi

I'm having trouble with the office 365 version of excel formatting to UK currency

excel formats my uk currency as £120,50 ( to represent £120 and 50 pence) whereas I want to format it like i could in earlier versions of excel as

    £120.50

I cant seem to be able to find any option anywhere to change commas to periods - i can find info online for some earlier versions but not for office 365 EXCEL

    please help

    tony

Are you using the desktop version or the browser-based version? If the former, File | Options | Advanced ...

Re: office 365 EXCEL UK CURRENCY HELP PLEASE

That is usually controlled by your operating system's region setting. Not by Excel (for desktop installation).

Check Control Panel-> Region and Language->Formats->Additional settings.

Find "Decimal Symbol" and change as needed.

Edit: For online, it may be controlled by your administrator for Enterprise/corporate subscription. You may need them to change region setting for the account/domain.

Not by Excel (for desktop installation).
See post #2 - it can be changed within Excel.

It's usually governed by the system set-up, I agree.
