Missing registry keys in new W11 PC

I'm looking at a Windows 11 machine and notice that a lot of the registry keys are missing.
Office 365 is installed and appears to be an identical version/build etc but under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft, the new PC does not have a VBA Key. In fact under Office/16.0 the new PC is very sparse.

Any know if this normal or whether there's something fundamentally wrong?

I don't know the answer but maybe can help figure it out.

Is Windows 11 a clean install or an upgrade?

I'm unclear as to where you are looking for a VBA key because the "old" screenshot doesn't show one. Mine doesn't have it either. However, I do see that a bunch of stuff is not present. Are you seeing any unexpected behavior? Or are you concerned solely because of your inspection of the Registry?

11, 12 and 15 are old versions of Office. Presumably redundant now (especially with a clean install of 365).

Re: Missing registry keys in new W11 PC

    Hi guys,

Yes the 11,12 & 15 are old office versions, so not worried about those.

I am having difficulty in that I'm trying to install **** which was successfully installing in Windows 10 and appears to write keys to the VBA section. Also there are some other Options in Outlook etc which I've changed, so am confused that under office 16 there are no keys for each application, in paticular the Options one which hosts a massive range of settings for all the applications.

As an experiment I also tried SaveSetting from Excel VBA and noticed a difference in the paths.
Instead of being saved under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, it's under HKEY_USERS with the SID.

Old: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VB and VBA Program Settings\Test
New: Computer\HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-648809297-25624587-2365289654-1756\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Test

    Attached some more screenshots.
