getting to know you

used excel for many years and though have some skills, I haven't spent time learning more sophisticated uses and formulas. came across a problem while building my own gold handicap spread sheet and this forum was the only place I found an answer. But..... alas..... I had to become a member to see the magic. So...... here I am, the latest member of Excel Forum and I thank the genus in you that knows the answer.

True enough, I haven't posted anything to the forum, but I did introduce myself though the form thinks I haven't as yet. Hope everyone enjoyed Memorial Day. Fortunately, in my view, I didn't get called up for Military duty -- missed Viet Nam on the lottery system and then I got too old for anyone to care anymore. BUT, I do care about those that served and died during that awful war.
