    An Introduction

    Greetings and salutations.

I just joined within moments ago, and am hoping to derive much help from this forum. Hopefully I will some day be capable of offering help as well.

I came here because something in excel was causing me to hit my head into the proverbial wall.

My knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is fairly poor, despite the fact that I rely on them often to keep track of data. I've used them mostly for organizing information, filtering, or simple mathematical functions, but lately have been diving into the depths of what it has to offer.

I currently run Excel 2007. Before that, I was running Excel from Office 98. I know, large leaps in between. I'm one of those people who tend to get comfortable with one version and cling to it until it is outdated beyond utility.

That said, I am also clinging to Microsoft XP as my OS of choice.

I am not good at explaining things and will often fumble around words and use awkward phrasing to try and get across what I am trying to communicate. So I ask that those around me will try to be patient. I will likewise try to return the favour.

Oh, and thank you to those who read all of this.

Thank you for your warm and somewhat poetic welcome. I hope to cultivate the knowledge herein.

And, wow, that was a quick response. I'd just finished posting a question.
