Excel Forum is a complicated mess.

I've been using computers since my fourth year in college (1974). I've run mainframes, dedicated typography systems, Macs, Windows-based machines, Osborne, "Trash80", you name it.

That being said, I must say that in 2012 I would have thought a HELP FORUM would not be the complicated mess it is. Registering took half an hour! Why do you need my birthdate? When I failed to enter it, why did the form clear out and make me reenter all my information? And is it really necessary to go through the confirmation process with the email and clicking to complete the registration? Blah, blah, blah.

All this crap just to look up an answer to a programming bug? Also, look at the top of this form: In a gold block it says: Please do not post questions here. This is an INTRODUCTIONS forum only...the very next line instructs to enter a "Descriptive Title that explains your problem."

So, which is it. Introduction? Problem query page? No questions?

This is counter intuitive. It's what I've been working to be rid of for decades.

I must agree with dJohnActor, as I just spent way too much time going in the same circles he did just to get on board and now I am burned out. I have no more time to chase down an answwer to my problem. PS. My background is similiar to yours dJohn.!
