I'm happy to find this forum. Though I'm self-taught in Excel, and only to a point, I've learned a deep appreciation for the functionality and efficiencies it has brought to my work. My roll has shifted almost entirely from operations to self-directed process improvement initiatives, most of it implemented in Excel.

My primary project is a single file that I started as a personal aid in 2006 but since developed into a one-stop solutions design tool for the ops department that I came from and now support. It drives best practices, trains new subject matter experts, generates estimates with spec narratives, plans and manages projects, outputs technical work orders for all-custom production, and feeds scheduling/labor allocation & MRP dashboards.

Excel Forum looks like a good place to deepen my knowledge and pick up some new tricks. And for troubleshooting!
