Hi. An Introduction/Timeline

Hi! I am a retired civil engineer . I just poke my nose in once in a while to learn as I have not coded before and I'm trying to get an interactive timeline done while I still can. My goal is to make a timeline that will be useful to others and keep my mind busy.
I have run the timeline past my neurologist and she definitely want's to see it when it is done and she has given me a deadline of 12/2018. I will attach a copy of it and will take any comments or suggestions that anyone has to offer. Any help would be much appreciated.

So far I have the file opening on the correct page (Opening Page). I couldn't get the attachment to work however I have included the code for the command buttons.
