Hi,
I am looking for an unusual format. I am linking charts to a data set which is being filled by drop-down(using data validation). Only one of the list items (SAY P1) in the drop down needs to be represented as numbers and rest as percentages. To deal with this, I used conditional formatting and the result was fine.
Now the only issue is that as the charts are linked to the cells and the same cells are being populated by choosing different list items from the drop down; when I select P1 in the dropdown, the table shows me values after conditional formatting but the charts are picking numbers as percentages which is the default number format for these cells. For eg. 4514 (after conditional formatting) is yet being picked as 4514795.80% in the line chart which looks like misrepresentation.
Is there any way to feed the line charts with the values after conditional formatting, so that the line chart reflects it in number format and nor percentages (which is the default cell value). or in any way I can link these post formatting values to other cells and try linking charts to those cells.
Please help out as I need this for an urgent presentation. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Aditi
