Hi All,

I'm living in the Netherlands and have been using Excel at work for about 10 years, considered "Excel expert" by my colleagues, but I guess I know less than 10% of what's to learn about Excel.

I did some funny stuff in Excel, like working on a Sudoku solver (it won't solve the most difficult ones), creating a route planner to go riding on my bicycle (in the Netherlands we have a complete network of "knots" and signs to cycle from one knot to another, so you can create your own route; I created my own planner in Excel based on the map and knots for my province).
My most recent small trick was my post on the MRExcel forum about calculating the "Gaussian sum of digits" (which I figured out myself): http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-q...ml#post3846098

Aged 52 and after 30 years of service with 1 employer, it looks like I'm about to loose my job shortly. No worries. It is my intention to certify and become a "real" Excel expert, using the knowledge, skills and tricks later on to start my own business.
So I'm signing up to several forums primarily to get a feeling of the actual Excel questions and topics going on, try and help where possible, and maybe start some new threads when I have questions to share with the Excel world.

Happy joining the Excel world, cheers,
MarcelBeug
