So I have this workbook that I’ve had for quite a few years that I use to track the maintenance on my vehicles. This thing has grown over time to be way bigger and more complex than I ever intended. But it’s actually been fun when I think of a different way for it to potentially present a new piece of information to me, to try and figure out how to make it work, particularly in the area of conditional formatting. I usually just do a lot of Googling and eventually find what I looking for. In this case, the answer has eluded me.
My workbook is pretty formula heavy, counting down dates, averaging numbers, a few line graphs showing in-town and interstate MPG over time and also some conditional formatting to make stuff jump out at me at a quick glance. So I have some knowledge of how this stuff works but I’m by far no expert of course.
So here are the things I would like to do.
1) Make cell A3 on sheet 1 turn red anytime the (6) cells from D6 to I6 and the (6) cells from D16 to I16 on sheet 2 become a negative number.
2) Make cell A3 on sheet 1 turn red anytime the (6) cells from D8 to I8 and the (6) cells from D18 to I18 on sheet 2 become red due to their specific internal conditional formatting.
3) Make cell A3 on sheet 1 turn yellow anytime the (6) cells from D8 to I8 and the (6) cells from D18 to I18 on sheet 2 become yellow due to their specific internal conditional formatting.
4) Make cell A3 on sheet 1 turn green anytime the (6) cells from D6 to I6 and the (6) cells from D16 to I16 on sheet 2 are a positive number.
5) Make cell A3 on sheet 1 turn green anytime the (6) cells from D8 to I8 and the (6) cells from D18 to I18 on sheet 2 are NOT red or yellow.
Thank you
