Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this is even possible with the current format I'm using, but I know nothing about spreadsheets so figured it's worth asking! I'm using Google docs to do the following:

exceleg1.jpg

So, I'm currently working off the attached data to make matches of two people, one from each coloured list, who share one or more common interests, (which fall in columns G-K). Multiple people share the same interests but I just need to put them into pairs.

I'm currently doing this manually, by going down the orange list, then doing ctrl f on the green lists sheet to find a matching interest & then pairing them up into a table - This I have in another sheet, just including the two names & two emails of the pair.

This works fine, but I'm working with literally thousands of them, so I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to make any of this process automated. I'm hoping there's some sort of formula that can do this for me, or at least simplify it. Incorrect spellings etc are a factor & I imagine there will still be a lot of leftover people unmatched, but if it spits out anyone unmatched, i can then do those up manually.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
