Code to open a another workbook from a macro, but have it opened and not be the active

Im looking for code to open a workbook from within a workbook, but have the newly opened workbook, not be the active window. My issue is that the first thing that pops up when opening the new workbook is a userform. I need the user form on top, but I need the workbook that has the macro that opened it, to stay active...not the workbook that has the user form. Is this possible? I would just record a macro to do so, but I guess you can not record one while a userform is up... ideas?
