Question I am trying to link multiple workbooks together

Hi, i'm somewhat new at excel, i know the basics, and i've tried a few macro codes. I am trying to have multiple workbooks linked together so that when i enter a new row of information in my master inventory list, it is automatically entered into the other workbooks, in the very next row that is empty (at the bottom of the list). Each workbook has the same layout (same column headings) i just don't need every item in my inventory list to be on every other workbok (ex. Sold list, bought list,) is this possible?

Hi and welcome to the forum

Perhaps if you provided a (clean) sample of what you are working with, and show what you want, it will be easier to help?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
    2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Ok, i tried to attach a preview for you. The invt list has more items than the sold list, and when i add a new item to the invt list, i'd like for it to automatically be entered into the next line on the sold list (just for ex.)

Re: I am trying to link multiple workbooks together

OK lets try a simple approach 1st, and see how that works for you.

In "sold" A2, copied across and down.....

    =IF('[FORUM%20INVT%20COPY(1).xlsx]Sheet1'!A2="","",'[FORUM%20INVT%20COPY(1).xlsx]Sheet1'!A2)

You will need to adjust the formatting top suite, and may also need to adjust the file names
