    Excel CSV to MAS 500

    Hi everyone.

Using VBA, I have converted an xlsm file to .csv for importing into MAS 500 but having done so (as part of a project), we have been told by a Sage employee that you cannot import a .csv file into MAS 500.

    Their website infers otherwise.

Normally I would put this to a MAS 500 forum but while researching this issue, I came upon a number of threads coming from the Excel side of the fence as the .csv files usually come from Excel. Those threads (some from back in 2006) indicated the import was common but Sage claim it cannot be done.

Anyone have any clear understanding of this process?

    TIA.
    Cheers,
    BJA

    Hi,

It would be strange if it didn't. This site says it does http://na.sage.com/~/media/site/sage...nager_spec.pdf

Yes, I also came upon these sites which is why the confusion. Turns out the Sage employee is NOT a Sage employee, just a reseller who apparently like to enter data manually... at a cost of course.

    Thanks guys.

Probably mostly true but I'd hazard a guess that the reseller won't be adding data manually, he'll be using a csv file.
