VBA : Need help for macro look at first character in a cell and copy.

Hey all,

My brain is hurting with this one, my VBA knowledge has been mostly "recording" of macros and then trying to make it bit more useable so my knowledge isn't that great at the moment. My next challenge was to create a macro that looks at another sheet copies over sheets (Done that bit) and then removes all formatting / merged cells (done that bit as well) and finally look at all of the cells for lines beginning with a number for instance : "0H00" or "20HHH", so if it 'finds' this it needs to copy this and the cell below into another sheet.

I have tried a "left" command but it always returns 'False' no matter what but also that doesn't help in the long run anyway as a formula doesn't make the macro copy over the info.

Any help or nudges would be greatly appreciated or would it be easier to do some kind of vlookup?
