Code execution prohibited by shared function

I have some code which refreshes pivot tabes on 4 seperate workbooks.

I have now made each workbook shared for the relevant teams to use and it now won't let me run the code. Is there anyway of unsharing the target document and then resharing it after the code has run for each of the workbooks.

I tried inserting the activeworkbooks.exclusiveaccess = false/true code into the code but it didn't like it and that's me out of ideas.

Any assistance as always is greatly appreciated

    ExclusiveAccess is method not property:

Thank you SixthSense but that just tells me something I have learnt the hard way, what I'm looking for is a way to circumvent the restriction. Is there any code which can unshare and then share the book so I can update the pivot table inbetween?
