use vba code to record excel workbook history

    Hi all,
since I have open many workbook. the excel only show the more recent 20 file is not enough.
I have an idea to record the workbook history to a sheet. but I am not sure if it can work.

    my idea is the following.
write an event in personal.xlsb, the event is effect when any worksheet open but I don't know how to write such event.

then write some code to record the time of open workbook and the full name of the workbook on the last row.
(I don't know how to let excel know the location of last row.)

Would you help to provide suggestion to me? thanks.

You can increase the number shown. Goto Excel options ... advanced and there is an option to change number of files shown. I think the maximum is 50.
