Hey:

A friend and I are thinking about going into business together. We're going to buy, in bulk, items that have UPC codes on them. We're buying by the pound, so some will be valuable, and some will not be. Each day, the value changes.

Here is what I want to see if we can do:

Get the items in (1000 different at a time.)
Scan them into a database
Have a program poll each UPC on 2 different websites each day, as well as a downloaded database. One item may have a $3 value today, a $5 value tomorrow, and none the next day. We just want to have a team to scan and store the products, and then if one rings up with a value, one of us gets an email alerting that product # (Whatever We Choose as SKUs) has a value and is sellable.

How hard is that to get done/

Also, what type of scanner can we get for quick, easy scanning, particularly for folks that don't know much about tech? We're going to hire about 5-10 folks at $10 each to come in and scan for us, and hopefully these handheld scanners will store all the data and then help us to organize the products.

Thanks,

Jeremy
