    Clear Contents of a column in a range variable

    im sure this is easy but I cant figure it out.
    I have a range variable named data I want to clear all the data in the 3rd column in the range variable I know how to reference a single location in the range variable but not a whole column. see example code below

    Why not just set the range to C1 to C20?

    because I don't want to delete that I set that as the range and do some data manipulation then place it back to the sheet in a different spot
