Active to static VBA req

Oiy, so here's a question: I have a row of YTD values that I want to make static once the date exceeds that column's respective month (ie, Jan passed, stop pulling updated data using that formula). I am trying to not remove the formula, still have the result, but not update using the existing formula in that cell.

To better explain the philosophy.

I have sales data that are "active" jobs, month closes and we prepare compensation reports for payroll, process payroll, etc. Then, as February continues January sales will close resulting in higher figures for Jan in Feb. However, we want to maintain on our doc that at End Of Month compensation value with a YTD rolling in a separate row (already have), but I don't want to degrade my formula by typing over it for the cell in question.
