Hi there all.
Hope that i can be helped!\Have trawled through the forums trying to find a thread where this has been discussed- but can't!
I work in a Junior School in the UK and am in charge of ICT. We are using iPads to support teachers in class and I have spent a long time creating a database on excel of the apps I think are useful.
I have uploaded this to google drive so teachers can view the list!
More importantly they should be adding comments and rating them and adding to the list so that we can share our findings...
Great! Very useful... If it's being used...
I can't find a way to track the hits to the number of times that the doc is being accessed and used unless it is being changed.
Google Drive only lets you see if anyone has changed the doc.
SO- my idea was to put in a Macro with a picture of a 'Welcome' screen that covers all the cells. There would be a button for people to click to remove the picture and then look at the list of Apps... this way, even if they just used it to view the apps, by clicking on the button it would be considered as a change by Google Drive and therefor the visit logged on the activity screen.
Not being Big Brother... I just want to check that the doc I have created and spent a long time doing so, is actually being used. I don't want to go around asking to check people's ipads to see if they have been updating and using the Apps!
If anyone has any further suggestions as to the best way???... I also have just thought. Once the button has been clicked... will the picture then just go away and not be there the next time someone accesses the doc??!
Many thanks in advance!
