What is the exact nature of your request?

As the easy way to open excel attachments in outlook is to double click them. Not really an action that requires automation.....

ok, what you need to do is set a 'rule' within outlook to run a macro whenever an email with an attachment arrives. The macro that's run must be in the VBA module of Outlook, not the Excel workbook you want to use.

You can set your Outlook macro to export any attachments to a specific file location, just Google that and you'll get plenty of examples.
