Scroll down through ActiveX for dates but turns into values - how to change to date

I am creating a schedule spreadsheet and I just recently discovered the ActiveX scroll down key...I LOVE IT! I've used it for another speadsheet for data and it works like a charm!

I followed the same directions to do it on this new spreadsheet using it for dates....but my dates change to values when it goes in the assigned cell! It is formatted for dates prior but, somehow it is overwritten and overts itself to a value.

Please be kind in your explanation...I'm really good at Excel but VBA is a new language for me...lol
