Macro to set value based on range of different cells with background color.

Hi All,

I'm new to the Forum and glad that I'm in as there are so much everyone can learn using the information in here.

I would like some help re the below query pls.?

I have a set of cells which has background colors using conditional formatting. Depending upon the colors in the range, it should return a specific value on a different cell. There are 4 colors in my example and priority of colors are red, yellow, blue and Green. If range of cells contain all 4 colors then return "L1" as value as red is considered highest priority, if range contains only 3 colors then return "L2" as its the next priority and so on.

The background colors are subject to change in the range as it has conditional formatting on those cells.

Can someone help pls?

Due to the nature of macros and conditional formatting what you are asking to do is actually very difficult if not impossible. I would suggest you maybe try to eliminate the use of conditional formatting and maybe apply a macro that does the coloring and the rest. Let me know your thoughts.

Is it possible to do it if the cell is manually colored pls.?
