I would like to protect my files and folders from deleting by others or by mistakes. I saw a suggestion to use compress folder and files to load within this folder and to assign a password to that folder so that it requires a password to delete. But I could not solve my problem.
My problem is only to protect from unauthorized deletion, not to protection from the accessing the file or folder.
I am using Excel 2007 and Excel 2013 in two different OS windows XP and windows 8.1.

Please suggest me.
