code to do a fuzzy lookup in the same column

Hi
What I am looking for in excel is to try and do a fuzzy lookup in the same column. So for example I have data in col A which reads something like this:
Col A
apple
banana
orange
aplle
oranage
pineapple

Now in column B I want the best possible match to be populated. So in B1 I want excel to return aplle. Similarly in B3 I want excel to return oranage etc and in col C I want the percentage match between A and B. Hope I have explained myself clearly.Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks for ur reply.However I have checked dis post and it works for matching two columns of similar data.If I use the code for checking duplicates in a single column it does npt work. Request you to help me out with this.
