if val in vba but cell is %

Hi

I need to make the function in vba do something based on a cell value

My cell however is a % value and i cant grasp how to work it as a %

I have tried 6.5%, 0.65, 0.065, 0.0065 and it only works if its > 65%

I need it to work if it is greater than 6.5%

How can i get the vba to work out that its a % format, and not a numeric?

Thanks that worked, but what i done instead was use another cell and used =(cell where percent is)*1 and had the format as a numeric, then anything above 6.5 does what i need it too.
