How to generate a string of text, based on numerical values defined in sheet

Hello,

I need to generate a part number in one column, and in the next column, I need to translate those part numbers into a text string.

For example, our part numbers consist of a ######-####, or a ######-####### part number system, and each of those digits is a different type of material.

FFTTCC-SSSS
FF= Material Format
TT= Material type
CC= Material characteristics
SSSS= Material sizes.

I have all of the variables in a spreadsheet already, and I need to generate part numbers 000000-0000 through 999999-9999999 based on the information provided in my reference spreadsheet.... does this make sense?

For example, based on the attached worksheet, the part number 010313-1648120 would need to read "PLATE, HOT ROLLED, A-36, 1.000 X 48.000 X 120.000"

How can I make a sheet that has the part number in one column, and the description in another?

Where this " part number 010313-1648120" is??

None of the numbers exist yet, I need to generate numbers based on the charts I provided. I could generate a list of numbers if that would help on another sheet.
