Disable Pivot Field List

I was wondering if anyone had developed a method for disabling the Pivot Field List. I have VBA for hiding it - but it can be shown again when you right-mouse click and select "Show Field List".

Hi Andy - thank you so much for this...however I am very new to customising Excel and never worked with the Ribbon. Do I add this code via a Visual Studio project or can I add it directly to the Excel Workbook?

You need to add the xml to the CustomUI section of the file.
