I have customised job cards in Excel. How do i create sequential numbering?

Hi everybody, I do hope someone can assist me.

I need to sequentially number single page job cards that I have created in Excel. Each time the template is opened it needs to create a new unique number, the document will then be saved as a .xlsx file - i think?

Please can someone assist?

This is how I have done this in the past:


'AUTONUMBER INVOICES FROM A SELF-CONTAINTED TEMPLATE
This page shows a macro embedded into an Invoice.xlt file. New workbooks created from this template will self-increment the invoice number each time a new workbook is saved for the first time. This shows how multiple users can access the same template stored on a network, and the numbers will still not skip nor duplicate, nor utilize any outside numbering source other than the template itself.

The sample invoice template is included, the macro will need to be edited to include the path to the invoice.xlt path on your system.
