Automatic data sorting and changing of cell contents

Hi all!

I'm currently trying to make some statistics over NFL games. I've found a big dataset but the data is very messy and hard to work with. The raw data looks like this:

And I would like it to come out this way (a change to having the same teams in the same columns and a change of the score IF a change of team is happening)

I'm still very new to Excel but I'm thinking some kind of macro that checks if cells beneath each other in "off" row are equal to one another. If they're not the macro should switch the contens of the cell in column "off" and column "def" and IF it does this it also has to change the contents of the score cells with one another. Is it possible to do this and how would you tackle the problem?
