I produce a complex dashboard (30 worksheets, 2 dozen each of queries and charts, but modest row and column counts). One feature is a small graphic (bitmap 2Kb, 21x20 pixels) that is inserted using the code:
This places the graphic in the selected cell, nudges it down a unit (as paste places images at the top of the row) and names it, e.g. for Cell A4 it would be "CBOS A4" for eample. Fine. Everything looks good.
So I email it to my customer, but all they see is the square within a square 'placeholder'. I'd never had the problem myself. I was discussing this with a colleague, saved and reopened my file and bingo! Now I see the box not the bitmap and I can't make it show the image.
The problem for my users was not always repeatable; some instances were visible, most not. I suspect that manually placed bitmaps might be OK (so far). I originally placed one to record the VBA - subsequently generalised. By deleting and reinserting the images I get temporary relief on my PC - I've not been able to try on users' PCs but that's hardly a proper solution.
