Make user input form to update inventory

Hello all, I'm new to this forum AND to making user input forms in Excel 2010. I want to add a user form to

1. update an inventory spread sheet,
2. A button to add the data
3. a button to launch a view of the Excel sheet where the user can sort the sheet to view but NOT update from this view.
4. How can I set it so the user automatically sees the input form first - pop it up - don't want to go looking for it.

Any templates out there or anyone willing to help. I made a form but don't like it - has to be better
