    locking in logo to spreadsheet

    Hi all,

I need to lock in a logo to a spreadsheet that has macros on it. The users who use this file can manipulate data, generate tables and graphs, etc. But I want a logo to be part of the spreadsheet such that the user cannot edit it or remove it from the sheet.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi jyl7

You have to options so far i know:
    1) click with mouse button right on the logo and go to Size and Properties, check/uncheck the boxes.
    2) Go to excel tab Review and Protect Sheet check "edit objects" and provide your password.

    I hope it helps.

    Hi Gabriel,

Neither of those options are working for me. I have a jpg copied into a worksheet, and I did both methods, saved the work, and I'm still able to click on the image, and just delete it. In fact, even right after I protect the sheet, I'm still able to delete it without saving and exiting the program.

    Check the file now
    test2.xlsx
To lock only the images that's not possible (so far i know), you need to lock the row, see attach test2 including explanation.

Re: locking in logo to spreadsheet

I was able to lock a logo using Excel 2003. See the attached file which contains:
    a. a locked logo
    b. an unlocked logo
    c. a locked autoshape
    d. an unlocked autoshape
    e. a Macro

I used the following key strokes/clicks:

    1. Click Upper Left Corner between A and 1 >
Format > Cells > Unlocked (or lock whatever ranges you want)

    2. Format > Picture or Autoshape > Protection > Locked or Unlocked (for each individual picture/shape)

    3. Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet ('Edit Objects' NOT CHECKED)

    4. Tools > Protection > Protect Workbook ('Structure 'checked [default setting])
