Naming new tabs from column A on main worksheet

I'm not experienced with VB but I see that I need it do perform this task. I'd like to be able to open a new worksheet and it automatically take on the name given in a list of names on the main worksheet page. In addition, if it could also handle updating the name (if it were needed) if the user misspells or a renaming occurs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Winon,

Thank you for the attachment but I can't seem to access it. It sends me to a bulletin page that says I need to log in or I don't have permission to view the page. Any suggestions?

    Hello DEESE,

Log out from the Forum, and then Log back in again. Before you view any of your posts, refresh the page at least twice, although three times seems to work better. Then go to your post and see if the attachment opens up for you.

    Hello Winon,

I tried the above suggestion with no success. Same bulletin page appeared. Not sure what else to try. I am very new to this thread and I'm not sure if I have full permission to everything???

    Hi DEESE,

In that case I would suggest you clear the Cache. In your Internet Browser window click on Tools>Internet Options, and under Browsing history, click on Delete. Another Pop-Up Screen will appear. Ceck the boxes for Temporary internet files, Cookies and History, and Click on Delete.

Then repeat the steps by Logging out and Back in again, refresh the page three times, and try again.

Re: Naming new tabs from column A on main worksheet

    Hello Winon,

    OK that worked...thanks!

The point of this spreadsheet is to keep track of a large amount of sample data being ran on several of our units. It's uncertain as to how many sample types will be ran, but probably no more than 200. For each sample type I would like to have a new worksheet opened, which I have created a template that will be used for each sample. That new worksheet will have details of each sample and how it was analyzed. The results will be calculated in each worksheet. On the main page, or summary page, I will have a link to the results of each worksheet for comparison. It looks like I can implement your suggestion to do exactly what I need. It looks like I'll have to insert all my worksheet templates first and link the results to the summary page individually. Question...is there a way, when inserting the new template worksheets, to automatically insert qty. 200 and have the links recognized automatically on the correct row/cell on my summary page?
